With graduation from law school just a couple of days behind her, Katherine Lovett, JD, has rejoined us as an articled clerk. While Katie will work primarily with the family law group, she will spend time in all of our practice areas, including corporate and property with Peter Coulthard and Alex Grant, wills and estates with Jessica Lyle and criminal with Don Murray. We know our clients will enjoy Katie’s energy and enthusiasm. Look for her profile on our “team” page soon.
Graduation is also a time to say goodbye, and in our case, we’re bidding farewell to Haley Zinck after three years as the cheerful presence in reception. In addition to greeting clients and organizing the front desk, Haley has been a big help to our financial administrator, Jackie Savage – plus the best source of news and traffic reports in Metro. We’re pleased she’ll be putting her paralegal skills to work in Lower Sackville and we’ll think of her every time we hear a train whistle!
Looking forward to her own law school graduation in a year’s time is our summer student, Megan MacKenzie. Megan will fill in at the front desk while we search for the perfect permanent replacement, after which she’ll help out with projects around the office. Megan comes to us with an interest in family law as well as wills and estates – we hope a summer exposed to the day-to-day realities of these practice areas will send her off to her final year of school with an increased appreciation for the benefit lawyers can bring to people’s lives.
