Fans of CBC’s Air Farce will recall the comedy troupe’s delight in mimicking the unique pronunciation of the Reform Party’s first leader. Just recently, the gang at 22 Minutes had fun imagining the shock of two British Columbia roommates learning of the province’s family law reforms: After two years of cohabitation, unmarried couples automatically acquire the same property rights as married couples-for better or for worse. We’re anxious to implement the technology tips Jenny Kooren (r) will bring back from the American Bar’s annual Tech Show. This will be the 5th year in a row one of our lawyers has attended the conference dedicated to practice innovation through technology. There’s no denying that social media, instant forms of communication and the internet have changed the way law is practiced. While lawyers may sometimes struggle to keep up with the pace-and the concurrent increase of expectations on us-we welcome the ability to serve clients more efficiently. Now if we can only pull off going paperless…
