These judges were so serious about the “no cell phones in court” rule that they enforced the fine on themselves when their own smart phones interrupted proceedings.  Both acknowledged to not do so would be hypocritical and paid their fines on the spot!

A reminder to us all (albeit from south of the border) to ensure our cell phones are turned off or set to silent before entering the court room… Or otherwise be prepared to pay the toll!
